A landmark housing development
Over the course of the last eight years CSD has designed and built a landmark housing development
at Ger-y- Cwm, Penrhyncoch around four miles inland from Aberystwyth.
When construction initially started in 2016, CSD made the strategic decision to use energy from renewable sources wherever possible, so none of the properties use either gas or oil as an energy source.
Sustainable power features
The development now numbers some seventy-five individual 2, 3 & 4-bedroom homes. Although similar in style, each house is unique in its design and boasts in-roof solar PV panels and electric wet heating systems providing highly efficient, low consumption heat and hot water. With integrated domestic fire sprinkler systems and off-road parking for two cars, each two-storey house is covered by the exacting 10-year National House Building Council (NHBC) Guarantee. A further forty homes are either currently under construction or planned for completion by 2025.
